HISAR: A Hindu outfit retracted its statement on Thursday, hours after a video showing its march in Hansi during which saffron clad persons warned Muslims to leave the place within two days went viral on social media and they were summoned by the Hansi SDM and DSP. However, Hansi police have registered a case in this regard.
Hansi SP Maqsood Ahmed said a case has been registered against Krishna Gurjar of Bajrang Dal and others under sections 147 (rioting), 149 (common object of unlawful assembly), 153 (wantonly giving provocation, with intent to cause riot), 505(2) (statements creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill-will between classes) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
Hansi SDM Mohit Maharana and DSP Dheeraj Kumar also held a meeting with the office bearers of Hindu organizations regarding this statement made during the protest. Hindu organization representatives said they had retracted the statement and whatever was said was in the heat of the moment. They said they would cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace and no such statements will be made in future.
The video shows a person saying: “Leave Hansi in two days, otherwise you will be responsible for what happens after that, not us... ”
